The virtual enterprise academy is a complete world of supported learning, working with the best of local talent to develop enterprise and business skills in partnership with focus schools.
The six focus schools for 2007/08:
Sutton Centre Community College and The Holgate School in Ashfield,
The Bolsover School and Shirebrook School in Bolsover
Queen Elizabeth’s Endowed School and The Manor School in Mansfield.
Additional schools for 2008/09:
Kirkby College in Ashfield
Heritage Specialist School in Bolsover
Samworth Church Academy in Mansfield
The Enterprise Academy work with these schools includes enterprise-focused student workshops, enterprise training for teachers and the creation of enterprise programmes integrated into the curriculum. Schools decide what they want to do and no limits develop the supporting materials for programmes to enable teachers to focus on delivery. Activities include a variety of enterprise challenge events with students, including an enterprise challenge event in March 2009.Sutton Centre Community College and The Holgate School in Ashfield,
